White River Valley Electric employee gets extraordinary award
Every year the local unit of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association presents an Apple from the Teacher award to an individual or an organization that has provided community service, especially to education. This year’s selection was a White River Valley Electric Cooperative’s employee, Cindy Rains, which was unanimously selected to be the recipient of the award.
”We wanted to present this award to Cindy based upon the wonderful and amazing work that she does with the White River Valley Electric Trust Scholarship program,” said Chapter President Judith Haefeker.
Above and beyond just hard work and dedication to the job, Cindy, WRVEC’s Trust Program Coordinator, loves the communities in which she works and it hasn’t gone without notice. The program has provided over $1.4 million in scholarships since its inception 24 years ago.
