Cooperatives continue to encourage safety and education
Bobby Aldridge and Joe Morgan, employee(s) of White River Valley Electric Cooperative, Branson, attended the Overhead and Aerial Basket School at the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives Training Center on October 23-26, 2017 in Jefferson City.
The course emphasized safe and efficient live line work practices and procedures to the class. Field instruction focused on the proper application of protective insulating equipment, live line tools and aerial devices utilized when installing and maintaining energized lines and equipment. During the school AMEC training staff and instructors from several of Missouri’s electric cooperatives were assisted by Joe Cardona of AB Chance, Evan Garber of Mid-America Testing & Supply, Dale Scurr of Buckingham and Doug Kirkman of Tallman Equipment.
AMEC is the service organization for the state’s 47 electric cooperatives which serves more than 560,000 rural Missourians.
