IT TECHNICIAN- BRANSON
JOB SUMMARY
To provide timely technical support to users and maintain the organization’s technology systems, including hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance.
- Provides problem resolution, reassigning or escalating advanced inquiries to appropriate technician or staff.
- Administer Help Desk Ticketing System. Assign and follow up on support requests. Ensure tickets are resolved and closed in a timely manner.
- Document and maintain resolutions within the ticketing system and/or knowledge base, depending on complexity.
- Configure, deploy, and set up computer equipment at user’s location.
- Update and maintain IT asset inventory for auditing and security purposes.
- Setup and maintain mobile devices, including enrollment and management via MDM.
- Monitor daily status of backup and DR processes and assist appropriate staff in resolution.
- Assist in user provisioning and management on various platforms.
- Assist in maintaining access control and physical access permissions.
- Collaborate with the cyber security analyst to maintain a robust cyber security posture.
- Assist in end-user training and process improvement as Enterprise Software further develops.
- Must keep up to date with knowledge of current technologies.
- Must maintain background check as per WRVEC policy to allow for “All access” to systems and data.
- Must be available for 24/7 on-call support one week each month.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- Must have strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to research technical issues and products and present ideas in user-friendly language with keen attention to detail.
- Must maintain complete confidentiality of written or electronic sensitive and private information.
- Must be able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft 365.
- Must have knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Application development experience beneficial (Power Shell, Python, SQL)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- Education – Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience – Must possess technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems. Must have hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience. Knowledge of the electrical distribution system desirable.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

- Inside office environment with regular posted office hours and occasional overtime, including weekends, and holidays if necessary.
- This job will require sitting for long periods of time.
- Hours may vary to include after-hours support, outage mitigation, and project implementation.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY

- Frequent physical activity to include sitting at a desk for prolonged periods of time, standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, and carrying materials under fifty pounds.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.
- Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
MACHINES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT

- Capable of operating a personal computer, a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, calculator, printer, copy machine, telephone, shredder, and any other required office equipment.
VISUAL ACUITY, HEARING, AND SPEAKING

- Comfortable in speaking on the telephone and via online conference tools Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately for work and safety compliance.
ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS
-
- Majority of work will be performed indoors. Normal office safety precautions and practices are required. Position may require travel to acquire supplies from time to time. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday.
