Member representative – WRVEC (Branson office)

JOB SUMMARY

Assist members with establishing, maintaining, and disconnecting service. Respond to inquiries regarding billing, collections, and assist in problem solving. Manage records by accurately posting payments and updating account information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

      • Interacts with members via telephone, email, or in person to initiate and build a strong working relationship.
      • Respond to inquiries from new, existing, and departing members pertaining to connecting, disconnecting, and maintaining service.
      • Communicate with members regarding billing, collection protocols, and assist with resolving problems.
      • Post funds to and update accounts for management of accurate records.
      • Set up payment plans for members.
      • Process returned checks and credit card chargebacks, collect or initiate action.
      • Collect, arrange, and balance accounts.
      • Quote accurate deposit information.
      • Receive, process, and distribute mail.
      • Reconcile payments and prepare and verify bank deposits.
      • Inspect, edit, and maintain records on all accounts.
      • Oversee and balance petty cash.
      • Post payments on computer daily and reconcile to cash report.
      • Cover outer offices when deemed necessary.
      • Demonstrate regular, dependable, and punctual attendance.
      • Present a professional, business image in accordance with company policy.
      • Retain knowledge of membership practices, procedures, and policies.
      • Recommend improvements which may be made in practices, methods, and procedures with the areas of this responsibility.
      • Develop and sustain a team working relationship with all employees.
      • Performs other duties as requested.

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

    • Extensive contact with members regarding billing, collection practices, membership polices, and procedures.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    • Education – Minimum high school diploma or GED certificate.
    • Experience – Minimum one (1) year work experience in an office/business environment or similar cashier position preferred.
    • Job Knowledge –Must have knowledge of business machines. (ex. Copiers, computers, calculators, phone systems, etc.)
    • Abilities and Skills – Must have the ability to perform office operations quickly and efficiently based on current regulations or polices. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to analyze information in both written and oral form. Fluent in multiple languages is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Inside office environment with regular posted hours with some overtime when necessary.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY

    • Frequent physical activity to include sitting at a desk for prolonged periods of time, standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, and carrying materials under fifteen pounds.

MACHINE, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT

    • Capable of operating a personal computer, calculator, printer, copy machine, telephone, shredder, and any other required office equipment.

VISUAL ACUITY, HEARING, AND SPEAKING

    • Comfortable speaking on the telephone and via online conference tools. Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately for work and safety compliance.

ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Majority of work will be performed indoors. Normal office safety precautions and practices are required. Position may require walking to acquire supplies from time to time.
