IT Support technician INTERN (paid internship)- BRANSON

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

To assist the IT department on all activities pertaining to WRVEC’s IT functions, while enhancing the WRVEC Mission and Vision Statements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the IT team on specific projects at hand. Aid in the following:

    • Support the IT team with maintenance of company owned hardware and software.
    • Create and manage service requests, incidents, and problems utilizing a ticketing system.
    • Assist with trouble shooting and providing technical support.
    • Imaging and preparing devices for deployment.
    • Organize and maintain IT assets.
    • Troubleshoot and administer Windows/iOS based applications and business applications.
    • Administer user, groups, and security through Active Directory.
    • Create, maintain, and organize documentation.

Internship participants will gain:

    • Knowledge of key IT practices applied within a professional environment.
    • Experience the cooperative way firsthand while working side by side with professionals from all levels.
    • Develop administrative, professional, and interpersonal skills to the extent of being able to organize, analyze, and communicate with others in a productive and efficient manner.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Technical Qualifications

    • Basic computer and operating system knowledge. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Education

    • Enrolled in a College/University seeking a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, currently maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least a B+. Must provide current transcripts.

Cooperative Knowledge

    • No prior knowledge of the Cooperative is needed for such position, yet candidate must demonstrate the desire to excel into an IT related field.

Abilities and Skills

    • Must have the ability to analyze internal information. Maintain an organized work environment, demonstrate the willingness to listen/learn and maintain a positive attitude.  Must adhere to strict company confidentiality and ethical standards. Must have strong problem-solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.  Must have the ability to multi-task, adapt to changes quickly, and work under pressure.

Other Requirements

    • Work during normal office hours of 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and occasional travel.

Note: This job description is for a Student Internship. This is a temporary position offering no more than 336 total hours of employment. This position is a paid position, yet no benefits are provided with such position.  Management retains the right to assign or reassign duties and/or responsibilities at any time.
