White River Valley Electric Cooperative Member Alexis Jackson Wins Scholarship Award
White River Valley Electric Cooperative and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) announced that Alexis Jackson has won the 2018 Glenn English Scholarship. This is one of five scholarships given to college students by the Glenn English National Cooperative Leadership Fund. Scholarship winners have all shown a commitment to the Seven Cooperative Principles.
“It’s immensely gratifying to give this award to Alexis, who first distinguished herself through NRECA’s Youth Tour in Washington and continues to demonstrate a real interest in the seven cooperative principles,” said NRECA Board President Phil Carson. “I know Alexis will go far and wish her all the best as her future unfolds.”
“We’re very pleased that Alexis, a member of our cooperative family, has won this prestigious award,” said White River Valley CEO Christopher L. Hamon. “It’s a major achievement, and we couldn’t be happier for her.”
Jackson attends Washington University, in St. Louis. Her scholarship award was $10,000.

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:
