WRVEC employees open their hearts and wallets for Meals on Wheels
Employees at White River Valley Electric Cooperative opened their hearts and their wallets to raise $660 dollars from their Sweetheart Safety Luncheon.
Every few months WRVEC employees have a safety meeting to cover various topics to continue their mission of providing members with safe and reliable electricity. After each meeting, employees put on a luncheon to raise funds for a worthy cause.
This past month’s sweetheart luncheon called for employees to “bring their honey and their money” to raise funds for the Meals on Wheels programs in each of WRVEC’s five-county service territory.
“The generosity shown by White River Employees helps provide more homebound folks a good meal,” Marketing Coordinator Diana Bradford said.
Monies were distributed to the following organizations: Ozark Senior Center, Ava Senior Center, Gainesville Senior Center, Forsyth Senior Center and Kimberling City Area Senior Center.
