Branson, Mo. – On Saturday, May 4, a record number of local fishermen participated in White River Valley Electric Cooperative’s 6th annual Hooked on Education Fishing Tournament in support of WRVEC’s Scholarship Trust. The record-breaking, 88 teams came to Theodosia Marina on Bull Shoals Lake where the sportsmen launched their boats at 7 a.m. for an eight-hour day of fishing.

Branson, Mo. – Three area Ozarks youth will represent White River Valley Electric Cooperative and travel to Washington, D.C., with the national Youth Tour from June 14 to 20. Daniel Ramey, Branson High School; Faith Wheelock, Chadwick High School; and Breeana House, Forsyth High School were chosen from 11 finalists at a banquet on April 5 at the Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks.

Branson, Mo. – As a winter storm bears down on Missouri, White River Valley Electric Cooperative is prepared for impending inclement weather, including the possibility of damaging ice. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for nearly the entire state in effect from Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon. Snow, sleet and freezing rain are all possibilities.
